ABC hosts a variety of meetings throughout the year that provide opportunities to expand members’ industry knowledge, as well as offer data, resources and tools that will benefit members’ future success and improve their leadership capabilities. ABC holds events at least once a month, focused on connecting the membership and providing them with educational and business development opportunities:
ABC works hard to provide you with timely and informative communications:
- Fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Alaska & Washington through the annual ABC Golf Extravaganza.
- Community Enhancement Project with NAIOP: The Commercial Real Estate Development Association: Every year, NAIOP gives back to the community by finding a worthy project that can accommodate 300+ workers in a single day.
- University of Washington’s School of Construction Management: ABC sponsors a team of UW students at the annual ABC Student Chapter Competition, hosts “meet the contractor” events on campus and invites students to attend ABC events.
- Employer Guide for Diversity and Inclusion: The purpose of the Employer Guide is to provide guidance, direction, information, and reference materials for ABC member companies that are initiating or further developing an existing diversity and inclusion program.
- Public Relations Guide for Contractors: This online-guide seeks to give you some tips on how to garner publicity for your company.
One of best ways to get the most out of your membership is by taking advantage of the professional growth opportunities afforded to you by volunteering on a committee. It is a great way to connect with fellow volunteers and get to know them face-to-face. “When I meet someone who is a member of ABC, I automatically think of them as a better quality contractor or sub-contractor.” ~ Pam Stewart, Synergy Construction, Inc. |
