Every recession, business after business goes through “layoffs,” losing good people and some they never intend to recall. You know the kind – workers with no work ethic; those who resist everything and challenge superiors; young bucks who have a stronger sense of entitlement than they do strong backs. As your company looks toward busier times, what’s your strategy for hiring smarter – for avoiding other company’s castaways and finding strong players that fit your team? In this highly interactive event lead by Dustin Walling, Principal of Dustin Walling Associates, we’ll go through a simple framework for more clearly identifying your company’s culture and needs, as well as building a better interview process to quickly identify “headache candidates.” As a bonus, all attendees will walk away with a complimentary online assessment to help this process for their own company.
Do you plan on running in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half or Full Marathon? Do you need a group of friends to do it with? Well the ABC Young Professionals Group is getting together a group of runners to meet up just prior to the run, and then again afterwards in the Beer Garden, and anyone is welcome to join us! Obviously people run at all different paces, so we wouldn’t stick together for the race, but we’d like to arrange a group photo at the starting line first thing in the morning. We’ll all wear special "Team YPG" running shirts to distinguish ourselves from the other runners.
If you are interested in joining us, and perhaps doing a meet up for training a time or two, please go ahead and register yourself with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, but also register with Victoria Klyce so that she can order a running shirt in your size and provide you with all the meet up details. There’s a fee to register with the Rock & Roll Marathon, but there is no cost to run as part of "Team YPG."
