Join ABC members, staff and lobbyists for the Day in Olympiaon Tuesday, January 26th from 3- 8:30 pm on the Capitol Campus. This is your opportunity to meet legislators, hear a presentation from a high ranking official, and get an update on important construction industry issues in
WashingtonState.
The day will kick off at 3 pm with a legislative recap from ABC lobbyist Cliff Webster, who will also answer your questions. At 4pm, members will join other leaders in the construction industry for a presentation from a high ranking official. While a speaker has not yet been confirmed, previous speakers have been Gov. Chris Gregoire and Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown.
The legislative reception is from 5 to
7 pm. Members can enjoy drinks and appetizers in the state Legislative Building, while networking with state Representatives, Senators and other government leaders. From 7 to 8:30 pm, members have an optional opportunity to have dinner with members from the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee to discuss important legislation that passes through their working group.
If this is your first trip to the Capitol, you can head to Olympia early and catch a guided tour of the historic LegislativeBuilding. Tours are offered hourly starting at 10 am. Public tours begin at the Tour Information Desk, which is located on the second floor of the LegislativeBuilding, just inside the main entrance doors.
