Jack Rafn, chairman emeritus of Rafn Company, has been named the region’s first construction legacy by Northwest Construction magazine. The award was presented at the annual McGraw Hill Northwest Construction “Best of 2009” breakfast on December 11 in Seattle.
Jack has served ABC in numerous positions at the chapter and national levels including 1984 chapter chairman and regional vice chairman for National later in the 1980’s. In addition, Jack was named an AIA Fellow by the American Institute of Architects/Seattle and sat on several construction industry advisory committees at the University of Washington. Jack was also recognized for his before-its-time promotion of early collaboration between the owner, design team, general and subs and his visionary leadership in the industry.
Jack was introduced at the event by ABC of Western Washington President Kathleen Garrity.
