This will be the third year that ABC of Western Washington is cooperating with the National Association of Office & Industrial Properties (NAIOP) on their Community Enhancement Day. The event is Saturday, September 20th. The project chosen for this year is Camp Long, a Seattle Parks Department facility in West Seattle. The 50+ acre park is a forested oasis in the city. Nearly all of the work will be outdoors, rehabbing and improving paths, trails, bunk houses, fire pits, etc.
The ABC staff has taken charge of registration and food service for the 300+ volunteers who show up every year. We are inviting ABC members and their employees and families to show up, to make a difference in the community. It is a great way to spend a few quality hours with your kids and/or employees. The scope of work on this site is far beyond the meager budget of the parks department.

“ABC has always taken on a community service project, and by combining our efforts with NAIOP we can cut down on administration and planning and concentrate on just doing the work that needs to get done,” explained President Kathleen Garrity.
