ABC HOLDS SUCCESSFUL GOLF EXTRAVAGANZA (08/14/2008)

Under a beautiful July sky, ABC members teed off for the 2008 ABC Golf Extravaganza at Trophy Lake Golf & Casting in Port Orchard. This year’s event was a tremendous success, raising over $2,200 for ABC of Western Washington’s community partner, the Make-A-Wish Foundation via the raffle, Buy-a-Drive, Double Down and Putting Contests.

The winners of this year’s tournament were Brian O’Neil (Bacic Group), Ben Belur (Capital Benefits Services, Inc.) and Andrew Crall (Keithly Electric). Second place went to Steve Peterson (First Sound Bank), John Gwazdauskas (Gwaz Electric), Tim Nierman Parker/Smith/Feek), and Brad Rinker (Northwest Metals & Salvage Service).Third went to Larry and Justin Stewart (Synergy Construction), John Hulbert (Banner Bank), and Lobsang Dargey (Dargey Enterprises). Men’s closest to the pin was won by Vaughan Seifert (Efinity Tech); women’s closest to was won by Angie Ramacher (Employer Resources Northwest); men’s long drive was won by Kevin Osborn; women’s long drive and women’s accuracy was won by Erin Dickenson (Employer Resources Northwest); and men’s accuracy was taken by Brad Rinker (Northwest Metals & Salvage Service, Inc.).

The planning of this year’s event was undertaken by the ABC Golf Committee led by Chair Ken Hill (KM Electric) and included: Ben Belur (Capital Benefit Services, Inc.), Brian O’Neil (Bacic Group, LLC), Eldon Carlson (Merrill Carlson & Co., PLLC), Mark Jordheim (Skyline Business Systems), Aaron Lindstrom (Enterprise Fleet Management), and Jason Webb Bell-Anderson Agency, Inc.). The success of the tournament was a direct result of their dedication to ABC and their fellow members.

The golf shirts were provided to all players by CHG Building Systems, Inc., dinner was courtesy of Employer Resources Northwest, and foursome photos were courtesy of CLP Resources, Inc. Complimentary beverages weregenerously provided by Synergy Construction and United Systems Mechanical, LLC and lunch was courtesy of The Blue Book of Building & Construction.
