TWO NEW FACES AT ABC/WW (08/15/2008)
Melissa Stevens and Abby Binion have both recently joined the ABC staff. Melissa Stevens is the new director of administration and finance. Melissa’s primary focus will be handling the finances of the chapter, including the Retro Program. Before joining ABC, Melissa worked for accounting firms in California, but wanted to work in private industry rather than public accounting and thought her move to Washington would be a good time to make the switch. She has a degree in accounting from California State University.
Abby Binion is the new office coordinator. Abby has a varied job including some office management duties, helping Melissa with accounts receivable and accounts payable, mailings, and making sure our conference and training rooms are ready for our many member meetings. She is our unofficial “director of first impressions.” It is usually her voice you hear when you call in, so take a minute to say “Hi.” Previous to coming to ABC, Abby worked in accounting for a car dealership and guest services and accounting in the hospitality industry. She has attended college in Washington and Illinois.
