ABC’s annual Political Action Committee Fundraiser, Texas Hold ‘em Poker Tournament, is back for it’s fifth consecutive year! It’s being held at the ABC office in Bellevue on Thursday, January 29th from 4:30 to 8:00 pm. The cost is $150, and all proceeds go straight to ABC National’s PAC fund, which helps get pro-business political candidates in at the national level.
Your entry fee includes appetizers, an open bar, tournament t-shirt, prizes for top finishers and a fun night full of poker! Entering this exciting tournament also buys an ABC gold PAC badge, which you can proudly wear at ABC dinner meetings, networking events and fundraisers (see accompanying graphic).
ABC brings in professional dealers, chips, real poker tables and even a pitboss for this fun event.
Terry Marston of
Marston and Ellison beat out over 25 other players to win the 2008 tournament. He went home with a gift basket full of Washington wines for his outstanding play.
Stephen VerHoeven of
Corstone Contractors, LLC. took second and
Brian Mead of
Balancing Service Co. took third.
Back again this year: ABC Bounty Hunter! If you can knock out ABC’s expert poker player, you win an instant prize - regardless if you place in the top three, or even make it to the final table.
This tournament is a great way to reward employees for all their hard work. All entry fees are transferable to someone else in your company, so an employee can play in the tournament and the business owner or manager can still get the badge. This badge is good for the entire 2009 calendar year, so there’s no better time to get one than at this January fundraiser.
Don’t want to play poker but still want to contribute to ABC and the political process? You can sponsor this unique event. All sponsorships come with signage at the event, a company mention and logo in post event thank-you letters and the ABC Website, as well as other perks. There are sponsorship levels for all budgets. Sponsoring is also a terrific way for an ABC member to get their name and product or service in front of some ABC’s most infl uential members.
