ABC members and staff worked alongside members of National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) to provide significant improvements to Camp Long Environmental Center
in West Seattle during the annual Community Enhancement Day on September 20.
Over 390 volunteers rehabilitated trails in the 55-acre park, built benches, cleared overgrown plants, installed new landscaping, repaired cabins, and restored fire pits on one of the more rainy September days in recent memory. The ABC staff was in charge of “volunteer services” for the day, including registration, first aid and lunch. The staff at Camp Long, as well as the many citizens and groups who use the park’s facilities, were very appreciative of all that was done to enhance this “best kept secret in Seattle.”
