Aran's Political Corner:With the 2008 elections less than 100 days away, there is no better time for ABC member companies to educate their employees about the important issues that are important to the construction industry and to stress the importance of voting. To help with this, ABC currently provides online voting resources designed to encourage employees to register to vote.
ABC’s online voting toolkit provides information on topics related to the upcoming elections and offers advice to employers on communicating with their employees about voting. The toolkit includes templates for letters that can be sent to employees directly; paycheck stuffers that can be attached to their paychecks; and bulletins encouraging them to vote that can be posted in a central location.
ABC also offers a short, four-minute video that explains the key issues in the 2008 election that will impact employers as well as employees and their families. The video can be shown to all employees at any ABC member company. In this critical election year, it is important that all ABC members are informed about the issues and are registered to vote.
