BUCHAN PROMOTED TO VP (04/01/2009)
Aran Buchan has accepted a promotion to Vice President-Government & Labor Affairs for ABC of Western Washington effective immediately. Aran has served as the Director of Government Affairs for the past two-and-a-half years.
“Aran’s experience and responsibility have grown tremendously since he started with ABC, so this promotion is a fitting recognition of the excellent work he is doing to represent our members and merit shop issues in Olympia,” noted President Kathleen Garrity.
In addition to his lobbying work in the state capital, Aran is in charge of our grassroots efforts, is the staff lead person on our state and federal PAC fundraising activities, helps members with their labor issues, and supports the chapter’s Government & Legal Affairs Council in many other ways. Prior to joining ABC in August 2006, Aran was employed at the law firm of Carney Badley Spellman and also worked in public relations.
