Charlie Poggemann, Bird Construction (USA) Inc., has been appointed to the ABC of Western Washington board of directors to complete the term left vacant when
Shelton Burr, Adept Mechanical Services, Inc., resigned. Shelton felt he needed to focus more energy on his business during these challenging economic times. Charlie will serve until June 30 of this year, at which time he would be eligible to be slated for a full three-year term.
“Charlie has been very active in ABC since he took over as branch manager at Bird. His enthusiasm and commitment to ABC make him an ideal board member,” said chapter President
Kathleen Garrity. “We appreciate the contributions Shelton made to the board, and continues to make to ABC, and hope to see him back on the board sometime in the future.” she continued.
When a vacancy occurs, the board appoints a member until the next regular election, at which time, the membership votes to fill the slot if there is still time remaining for that position. The next elections will be held in May.
