HAWAII IN FEBRUARY? (01/01/2009)
In most years, planning a trip to Hawaii in February is not a hard thing to consider. Raining here, sunny there. This year isn’t like past years, so you may not think going to Hawaii is a good idea. But, consider this…the 2009 ABC Convention is in Hawaii in late February. Here are a few reasons you should take the time to attend:
There will be ample opportunties to network and share with contractors just like you from all over the country.
The educational offerings are first-rate and aimed at company owners and top execs. Ron Magnus, from FMI, is literally a “top gun” educator and presenter.
The keynote speaker, Capt. Gerald Coffee, a POW for seven years, will share an inspiring message.
You can cheer the Univ. of Washington construction management students on to victory during the Student Chapter Competition (even if you are a Coug!)
Hear a thoughtful and entertaining economic forecast from ABC’s chief economist Anirban Basu (yes, an economist with a terrific sense of humor).
You will be working very hard in the coming months, and likely under some stress. Here is an opportunity to take a much-needed break, learn some new things, recharge your batteries and be able to take the tax advantage. Go to www.abc.org and look for the link on the right. The early bird discount ends January 23, 2009.
