Rob Bridgman of
Sound Mechanical Solutions knew when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em. He came into ABC’s fifth annual Texas Hold’em fundraiser as one of 27 participants, and came out as the 2009 champion!
On January 29th, ABC members and staff gathered for a poker tournament in an effort to increase the ABC National PAC fund. Guests were treated with appetizers, drinks, prizes, as well as a t-shirt commemorating the event.
By the end of the night, members had contributed $3,100! Proceeds will go to help elect business-friendly candidates, as well as fight costly legislation such as the Employee Free Choice Act.
Rob took home a wine gift pack as the first place prize.
Jeff Harding of
Premier Builders took second and won a golf package, and
Andrew Hulen of
Synergy Construction, Inc. took home a tool set for his third place effort.
Jerry Surdyk of
Express Construction Co., Inc. went “all in,” knocked out ABC’s expert staff player, and claimed a gift certifi cate to the Rock Bottom Brewery for his effort.
ABC PAC fundraisers are a great way to get involved in the political process, network with other ABC members, or just have a fun night out. Want to reward a group of employees and also donate to a great cause? There are discounts for sending more than one person. ABC’s next fundraiser, “ABC Day at the Races,” is coming up on May 28th. This second annual event is a fun-filled day watching the races at Emerald Downs in Auburn.
