Ann Jarvis, vice president of safety and education for ABC of Western Washington, celebrated her 10th anniversary with ABC of Western Washington in January. For ten years, Ann has provided ABC members with safety education services, scheduled 100+ seminars every year, mentored untold numbers of new safety professionals, represented ABC on numerous committees and task forces in Olympia on safety and workers’ comp issues, and, in her spare time, represented the construction industry on work force development boards and committees.
Currently Ann serves on the Dept. of Labor & Industries Retro Advisory and Construction Advisory Committees and monitors the Workers’ Comp. Advisory Committee, WISHA Advisory Committee, and Retro Proviso Advisory Committee, along with the AWB Workers’ Comp Committee, Retro Proviso Business Coalition and Safety Committee. She was active in the rule development for the crane safety regulation. Ann also serves on the Northshore Schools’ General Advisory Committee. In addition, she attends the monthly Safety Summit and annual Governor’s Health & Safety Conference to stay current and network with her peers.
