Volunteer of the Month for October is Dustin Walling of Dustin Walling & Associates. Dustin joined ABC in April of 2008 after a phone call to the chapter on how he could get involved in a group where he could make a difference.
Dustin got involved in a variety of areas right away. He began by helping the ABC Framers Council reorganize and refocus on their goals and mission. Next he joined the Membership Council, began attending every dinner meeting and event while assisting the North End Taskforce address the needs of members in Whatcom and Skagit counties.
The more Dustin participated, the more he got involved. He attends the Young Professional Group (YPG) events and will soon present a session on “Supervisory Leadership” to the group. Dustin has presented to the Rising Star group and the Diversity Committee, as well as being an instructor in the School of Construction Management. Dustin is also a member of the Development & Education Council, an ABC “Shooting Star,” and began an ambassador group to meet and greet members and guests at monthly meetings.
Dustin is always willing to help where needed and continues to support ABC and members in growing their businesses. Thank you, Dustin, for your energy, leadership and time in making ABC better for all members!
