Have you heard the buzz surrounding ABC’s 26th Annual Dinner Auction, “Shoot Out at the ABC Corral” yet? Your Auction Committee has rolled up their sleeves and gotten down to the business of providing you with an entertaining evening out that is sure to help you forget all your cares! The event is presented by Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker LLP and will be held on Saturday, November 7th at the Bellevue Hilton Hotel from 5to 10 pm.
In order for this event to be even more successful and entertaining, we need YOUR help! We are looking for creative and fun donation items from our membership. We know it’s a tight year for everyone, so even if you can’t donate anything but two tickets to a Mariners game that’s ok by us. Anything sports related is always a big draw, as are unique items or services. Do you own a boat you can take guests out fishing or sightseeing on? Do you knit your own hats or are you a hobby photographer? Are you willing to have one of your skilled tradesmen help someone out for a day? Do you know someone who has their own coffee shop or other small business? A gift basket with logo’d items makes a great donation, plus it gives a marketing benefit to the company(s) who’s items are included. If you can’t think of anything, Amy at the ABC office would be happy to help you brainstorm a fun item.
Why should you donate? The proceeds from the auction go toward ABC’s many activities supporting the construction industry and help us with our operating costs. Funds from the Fund-A-Wish portion of the evening all go to our community service partner of over 23 years, The Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Alaska, Montana, Northern Idaho & Washington, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. You have until October 16th to have your donation published in the auction catalog. Items that come in early may be chosen as an “Item of the Week” and featured on the ABC Website and in the weekly FLASH email.
One of the great donations we’ve received so far is from “Captain” Kristi Knott with Sunset Builders Inc., who has donated a boat-riding party for five on her 2006 25’ Chris Craft Runabout out on Lake Washington! To watch what other exciting items come in, be sure and check out the Item of the Week posted in the weekly FLASH email or at www.abcwestwa.org!
Why should you attend this event? This year’s auction is sure to be ABC’s best event of the year with live entertainment, a delicious barbecue dinner, complimentary whiskey bar (from 5:30 to 6 pm), dessert dash, three silent auctions and a fun-filled live auction with many great items to bid on. If you are planning on bringing a bunch of people from your office, you can reserve a full table for 10 at the “Six Shooter Pardner” or the “Shotgun Pardner” levels, which afford you the best view tables as well as great marketing opportunities for your company!
There are also several sponsorship levels still available; from the “Saloon Sponsor” for $400, down to the “Bandanna Sponsor” for $100. Sponsoring is a great way to advertise your company to a targeted audience within the construction industry, and each sponsorship level comes with multiple benefits. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact
Communications and Events Coordinator Amy Gegouxat (800) 640-7789. We hope to see all our pardners out on the range soon!
