ABC members can now submit applications for the
Workforce Development Awards, which are sponsored by Trimmer Education Foundation and honor the professionals who further the merit shop philosophy. The awards honor exceptional ABC chapters, members, students and trainees who are pursuing careers in construction or who have made significant contributions to encourage emerging construction professionals.
The Workforce Development Awards Program features eight annual award categories. The first six awards reinforce construction as a meaningful career, challenging applicants to pursue excellence in their chosen path. They include:
Student Chapter Construction Management Competition Student Chapter Awards John Trimmer Excellence Teaching Award National Craft Championships
Craft Instructor of the YearCraft Professional of the Year The remaining two categories,
Supportive Contractor Award and
ABC Chapter Awards of Excellence, celebrate the achievements of ABC members and chapters in areas related to outstanding workforce development initiatives.
The criteria and deadlines for each of these categories is different so applicants are encouraged to read each application carefully. The awards will be presented at
EdCon & Expo, taking place April 12-15 in San Antonio, Texas.
