One niche often ignored is bonded work. It is obvious and, therefore, not "cool." Contractors who are bonded enjoy statistical and business advantages over those who are not. The numbers clearly point this out and several surety professionals confirm it. From our observation and research, there is not a great flood of contractors who consistently approach public and private projects with bond in hand. There is a minority of construction firms which enjoy less competition and certainly know their costs.
