As home remodeling projects kick off this spring, the Department of Labor & Industries is launching an ad campaign encouraging consumers to ensure their contractor is registered, bonded and insured before hiring them for any home improvement project.
Research revealed about half of Washington homeowners don’t check to see if their contractor is registered before hiring them. You can help L&I promote the importance of hiring professionals by adding the attached website widget to your own website, promoting yourself as a registered contractor and encouraging your customers to check your registration status with L&I.
Stop by our main office for available business-sized cards promoting registered contractors—perfect to staple to bids! Posters and postcard sized material also available.
Social media savvy? L&I has also provided suggested posts promoting the campaign to use on your social networking sites (below).
