Call for Nominations to ABC’s Board of Directors

ABC of Western Washington’s Nominating Committee is requesting applications from the membership for consideration of Board of Director positions for 2017.  There are is one 3-year term that needs to be filled. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 14, 2017.

WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN APPLYING FOR A BOARD POSITION

As an ABC Director, you will represent ABC to members, potential members, construction users, government officials, and the general public. You will work with other Board members to determine ABC’s direction as an association and insure ABC remains relevant and a viable entity in the commercial and industrial construction industry.

Board members lead by example and you would be committing to:

  • Attendance at all scheduled Board meetings and membership meetings.
  • Serve as a Board Representative to the membership.
  • Make informed votes to determine ABC’s position on issues.
  • Commit to become politically active.
  • Attend the annual Chapter Planning Conference.
  • Serve on an assigned committee.
  • Maintain high visibility at Chapter activities.
  • Assist with the recruitment and renewal of members.
  • Help make ABC activities and events successful.
This is not an exclusive list. As challenges and opportunities arise Directors are expected to assume an active leadership role.
