Are you up to standards for Confined Space training? Are your employees aware of the dangers of working in a confined space? Entering confined spaces presents numerous hazards for a construction worker, frequently resulting in serious illness or fatality. Often the hazards can’t be seen or otherwise sensed - until it is too late. This class will cover discuss an overview of confined space requirements, review of federal and state standards, pre-entry testing and hazard elimination, hazardous atmospheres, and work environment hazards.

A mistake while trenching or excavating could be deadly. Is your crew properly trained? Foremen and superintendents must have training in soil analysis, sloping, benching, shielding and protective systems, water accumulation, daily inspection requirements, emergency procedures and knowledge of OSHA and DOSH excavation standards. The person in charge must be able to identify predictable or potential hazards and know how to take corrective action.

The course will include videos, slides, and in-class exercises to reinforce the information provided and cover:

•    Posting Requirements
•    Signs/Symptoms of Exposure
•    Written test
